  15. Check us against your own list

There is no single best iPhone repair shop in Singapore, because the right shop depends on which iPhone you have and what you want done to it. What you can do is check ten things before you hand it over: which grade of part you are being quoted, whether genuine Apple parts are actually available for your repair, whether a price exists for your exact model, what happens to Face ID, your data, the warranty in writing, and whether there is a counter you can walk back into.

Fair warning before you read on: we repair iPhones for a living, so we are one of the shops you might be comparing. That is exactly why this is a checklist rather than a top-ten list. A ranking written by a shop that put itself at number one would tell you nothing you could check for yourself. Ten questions you can take to any counter, ours included, are worth considerably more.

1. Which grade of screen are you actually being quoted?

Four shops can quote wildly different prices for the same iPhone screen and both be telling the truth. The gap is almost always the panel, not the labour.

At the top is a genuine Apple display, available to us for eligible repairs through the Apple Independent Repair Provider programme — $355–$545 depending on the model. Below that sit Original Grade displays at $35–$415, and Grade AAA at $30–$170. These are real differences in the panel, not marketing tiers, and they show up in brightness, touch response and how the screen behaves after a year.

The check is simple: ask which grade, and ask for it in writing before the work starts. A lower price with the grade stated is a legitimate option, especially on an older phone you plan to replace soon. A lower price with no grade named is not a price at all. We break down what separates them in original vs OEM iPhone screens in Singapore, and the grades are set out on our parts quality page.

2. Can the shop actually get genuine Apple parts?

This is the one claim in iPhone repair that is checkable, and most people never check it.

Genuine Apple parts reach independent shops through one route: Apple's Independent Repair Provider programme, which a business has to be accepted into and which Apple lists publicly. Citri Mobile is in it, and our IRP status is on a page of its own so you can verify it rather than take our word for it.

Two things follow that are worth knowing. First, genuine parts are for eligible iPhone repairs — not every repair and not every model, so ask whether yours qualifies. Second, and this is where the word gets abused: genuine Apple parts are an iPhone thing. A shop advertising genuine Apple parts for a MacBook, an iPad or an Apple Watch is stretching the term well past where Apple puts it. For those devices the honest answer is Original Grade, and that is what we say.

3. Is there a price for your exact iPhone, before you go?

An iPhone 11 screen and an iPhone 16 Pro Max screen are not close to the same repair, and a page that says "screens from $XX" covers both without telling you about either.

Search your model on the shop's site before you travel. If the price is there, you can compare it against anyone. If the only way to get a number is to carry the phone across the island, the number is being decided after someone has seen how badly you need it fixed. Every iPhone model in our catalog is priced individually on the iPhone repair page. The common repairs start here:

RepairFromUsually
iPhone screen replacement Singapore$35Same visit on common models
iPhone battery replacement Singapore$25Same visit
iPhone charging port repair$25Usually same day
iPhone back glass replacement Singapore$40Usually same day
iPhone rear camera replacement$30Usually same day
iPhone Face ID repair$50Diagnosis first
iPhone liquid damage chemical wash$45Diagnosis first, then a quote
iPhone logic board repair$20Depends on the fault

Those are nett prices. What you are quoted is what you pay. There is more detail on each in our guides to iPhone screen replacement cost, battery replacement cost and back glass replacement cost in Singapore.

4. What happens to Face ID?

Ask this before anything else if you have an iPhone X or newer, because it is the detail that generates the most unhappy surprises.

Face ID is paired to the phone at the component level. Some repairs leave it alone entirely. Others — anything touching the front sensor assembly — can disable it permanently if the work is done without the right transfer process. A shop that volunteers this before you agree is a shop that has done the repair before. A shop that mentions it afterwards is one you will be arguing with.

The honest version is that a screen replacement should not cost you Face ID when the original sensor assembly is transferred properly, and that Face ID repair itself starts at $50 and needs a diagnosis first, because the dot projector and the flood illuminator fail differently.

5. Will anyone need your passcode, and what happens to your data?

Most iPhone repairs do not need anyone to unlock the phone. Some do: an intermittent fault or a phone that will not boot can only be confirmed fixed by using it.

So the question is not "will you look at my photos", it is "does this repair need my passcode, and why". A shop that can answer that for your specific fault has thought about it. A shop that asks as a matter of routine has not. Back up before you go either way — the five minutes it takes to protect your data before a repair is the cheapest insurance in this whole list.

6. Is board-level work done in-house?

Screens and batteries are the easy half of iPhone repair and every shop does them. The split shows up when the fault is on the logic board: a phone that will not power on, a charging circuit that stopped negotiating, an audio IC that went after a drop.

If a shop sends that work out, your phone leaves the premises and the timeline stops being theirs. If micro-soldering happens on site, someone there can tell you whether a dead iPhone has a power fault or a storage fault, rather than quoting you for a replacement because that is all they can fit. Board-level iPhone repair starts at $20 and is quoted after the diagnosis, because the fault decides the job.

7. Is liquid damage sold as a repair, or as a diagnosis?

Liquid does two things to a phone: it shorts circuits now, and it corrodes them for weeks after. The treatment is a chemical wash — the board comes out, goes through an ultrasonic clean and is inspected under current. Sometimes the phone comes back fully. Sometimes the wash shows damage that was always terminal.

Nobody can tell you which before the board is out, so the right answer is a chemical wash from $45 as a diagnostic step, then a quote for what it finds. A shop promising a water-damaged iPhone will be fine is promising something it cannot know. If it has just happened, what you do in the first 30 minutes genuinely changes the odds — and it is not rice.

8. How long will it take, honestly?

Be wary of one fixed number for every job. Screens, batteries, charging ports and cameras on common models are usually finished within the visit or the day, as long as the part for your model is in stock. Board-level work and liquid damage take longer because diagnosis comes first and what it finds shapes the repair. Less common models can wait on a part.

If you are making a trip, message your model and the fault first. That is the only way anyone can tell you whether your part is on the shelf today rather than tomorrow.

9. What is the warranty, and what voids it?

The warranty is the only part of a repair you can still hold a shop to once you have left, so it deserves more attention than it usually gets.

How long, what exactly it covers, and what voids it. Most warranties in this trade cover the part fitted and the work done to fit it; almost none cover a new drop, fresh liquid or a different fault that turns up later. That is reasonable. What is not reasonable is a shop that will not tell you which applies until something has gone wrong. Our warranty and service terms are published, and eligible completed iPhone repairs carry a warranty of up to 100 days depending on the model and the repair.

If your iPhone is still inside Apple's own warranty or AppleCare+, check what third-party work does to it before you commit. We went through that in does third-party iPhone repair void your Apple warranty.

10. Is there somewhere you can walk back into?

Most repairs are fine. The ones that are not are why this matters. A counter you can return to on a weekday is worth more than a collection point, and the check takes a minute: does the address exist, does it have opening hours, would you actually go back there.

Citri Mobile has four walk-in shops — People's Park Centre in Chinatown, Tampines, Yishun and Jurong Point — open 11am–9pm daily, listed with full addresses on our locations page. Call or message before you travel so we can confirm the part for your model is in stock.

Still not sure what is wrong with your iPhone?

You do not need a diagnosis to ask for a quote, but knowing roughly what you are dealing with makes the conversation shorter. Start from the symptom:

If none of those fit, our iPhone repair costs, options and FAQs covers the rest, and what to expect during the repair walks through how a visit actually goes.

Is it worth repairing your iPhone, or replacing it?

A rough rule that holds up: if the repair costs less than about half of a comparable replacement and the rest of the phone is sound, repair is the better call.

Run the numbers rather than the feeling. A battery at $25 on a phone that otherwise works is not a close decision. A screen plus a board repair on a six-year-old handset probably is. And get the diagnosis before you decide, because the fault people assume they have is rarely the one that gets quoted — which cuts both ways. We worked through the arithmetic in is it cheaper to repair or replace an iPhone and is it worth repairing an old iPhone. If it really is time to move on, a working or even cracked iPhone still has trade-in value.

Best iPhone repair in Singapore: FAQs

Which is the best iPhone repair shop in Singapore?
No shop is best for every iPhone repair, and one that claims to be is selling rather than answering. Compare ten things instead: which grade of part you are quoted, whether the shop can genuinely get Apple parts through the Independent Repair Provider programme, whether a price exists for your exact model, what happens to Face ID, whether your passcode is needed and why, whether board-level work is done in-house, how liquid damage is described, an honest turnaround range, a written warranty, and a counter you can return to.
How much does iPhone repair cost in Singapore?
At Citri Mobile an iPhone screen replacement starts at $35 with Original Grade panels, a battery at $25, a charging port at $25, back glass at $40 and Face ID repair at $50. Genuine Apple displays for eligible repairs under the Apple IRP programme run $355–$545. All prices are nett and every model is priced individually.
Do you use genuine Apple parts for iPhone repairs?
Yes, for eligible iPhone repairs. Citri Mobile takes part in Apple's Independent Repair Provider programme, which is the only route by which an independent shop in Singapore can fit genuine Apple parts. Not every repair and not every model is eligible, so ask about yours. Where genuine is not available or not the right call for the age of the phone, we quote Original Grade or Grade AAA and name the grade on the quote.
Will an iPhone screen replacement break Face ID?
It should not. Face ID is paired at component level, and a screen replacement that transfers the original front sensor assembly properly leaves it working. The risk comes from repairs done without that transfer, which can disable it permanently. Ask what happens to Face ID before you agree to the work, not after.
Is a cheaper iPhone repair worse?
Not automatically. The price gap is usually the grade of the screen or battery rather than the quality of the work, so the real question is which grade you are being quoted. Original Grade or Grade AAA named up front is a reasonable choice on an older phone. A low price with no part named is not a price, it is a guess you will be asked to live with.
How long does an iPhone repair take?
Screens, batteries, charging ports and cameras on common models are usually finished within the visit or the same day, provided the part for your model is in stock. Board-level repair, Face ID and liquid damage take longer because the diagnosis comes first and what it finds decides the job. Any shop quoting one fixed time for every repair has not looked at your phone.
Does a third-party iPhone repair void my Apple warranty?
For a phone still inside its Apple warranty or AppleCare+, third-party work can affect cover for the parts involved, so it is worth checking first on a recent handset. Repairs carried out under the Apple Independent Repair Provider programme using genuine parts sit differently from general third-party work, which is one of the practical reasons the programme exists.
Where can I repair an iPhone in Singapore?
