Cracked iPhone camera glass costs $20–$40 nett to replace at Citri Mobile, depending on model. It's one of the cheapest iPhone repairs there is, and one of the worst to postpone: the glass is all that stands between dust, moisture and your camera module, which costs $30–$105 to replace once damaged.

Camera glass, camera lens, camera module: what actually cracked?
Three different parts get called "the camera" and they cost very different amounts, so let's name them properly:
- The camera glass (what this post is about) is the hardened cover sitting over each lens on the camera bump. It takes the hit when the phone lands face-up on its back corner. Replacing it is a $20–$40 repair.
- The camera module is the actual camera underneath: sensor, lens assembly, autofocus and stabilisation. If the impact reached it, that's a $30–$105 rear camera replacement, covered in our guide to an iPhone camera that's not working.
- The back glass is the whole rear panel of the phone. Cracks there are a separate repair with its own pricing; see the iPhone back glass replacement cost guide.
Good news first: in most drops, the sacrificial glass does its job. The camera underneath still shoots fine, and only the cover needs replacing.
How much does iPhone camera glass replacement cost in Singapore?
$20–$40 nett at Citri Mobile, model by model, with Original Grade glass. The exact figure for your iPhone is on the iPhone camera lens replacement page. There's no diagnosis fee, and if we open it up and find the camera module took damage too, we quote that separately before doing anything; you decide with the numbers in front of you.
Compare that with the alternative path: Apple treats cracked camera glass as back-panel or camera-level damage on most models, which prices the same accident at several times more. For a phone out of warranty, the independent lens swap is the sensible first move.
Can I keep using my iPhone with cracked camera glass?
You can, and that's exactly the problem. The phone works, the photos might even look acceptable at first, so the repair slides down the to-do list. Meanwhile three things happen:
- Dust migrates in through the crack and settles on the lens or sensor. That's the black specks that appear in the same spot of every photo.
- Moisture follows. Singapore humidity is enough; you don't need to drop it in a drink. Fog under the lens, hazy shots, and eventually corrosion on the module.
- The crack spreads. Loose glass fragments can scratch the lens beneath or work into the focus mechanism, turning a $20 repair into a $30–$105 one.
Every photo through cracked glass also picks up flare and ghosting where light scatters off the fracture. If your night shots suddenly have halos, that's the crack, not the camera.
Is camera glass a DIY repair?
It looks like one on video, and it's the repair we most often see attempted at home and finished badly. The risks are specific: prying shattered glass directly above an exposed lens (one slip scratches the module you were protecting), heat guns loosening nearby adhesive, and aftermarket glass without the proper sealing ring, which leaves a dust path straight to the sensor. The professional version costs $20–$40 and takes far less time than the cleanup when a DIY attempt goes wrong. If a previous repair already went sideways, bring it in anyway; we see plenty and we don't judge.
Does the price differ by iPhone model?
Yes, mainly with the size and number of lenses. A single-camera SE is the cheapest; the triple-lens Pro Max bumps sit at the top of the $20–$40 range because there's more glass and a larger sealing area. Every model's exact price is listed on the camera lens service page, and the wider picture across all iPhone repairs lives in our iPhone repair cost & options guide.
How do I know the camera survived?
Quick test before you come in: open the Camera app and check each lens (wide, ultra-wide, telephoto if you have it). Sharp image, clean focus, no specks, no rattle when you gently shake the phone? The module is probably fine and you need glass only. Blur, black screen, buzzing or visible debris means the impact went deeper. Either way the diagnosis is free, and we test every lens before and after the repair.

iPhone camera glass replacement: FAQs
- How much does it cost to replace iPhone camera glass in Singapore?
$20–$40 nett at Citri Mobile depending on model, with Original Grade glass and a proper sealing ring. The camera module underneath is tested free before and after.
- Will cracked camera glass ruin my photos?
Progressively, yes. Expect flare and ghosting where light hits the crack, then fixed black specks as dust reaches the sensor, then haze if moisture gets in. The earlier it's replaced, the more likely the camera itself stays untouched.
- Is camera glass the same as back glass?
No. Camera glass covers just the lenses on the camera bump; back glass is the phone's whole rear panel. They're separate repairs with separate prices, and cracking one doesn't always crack the other.
- Does replacing camera glass void my Apple warranty?
An out-of-warranty phone has nothing to void, which is the usual case for cracked glass. For a phone still under AppleCare+, weigh the excess fee against the independent price first; for accidental damage the independent route is often cheaper than the excess.
- My photos are blurry after the glass cracked. Is the camera dead?
Not necessarily. Blur can come from the fractured glass itself scattering light. If photos sharpen up with the cracked glass removed, the module survived; if not, the autofocus or lens took damage and it becomes a rear camera replacement, quoted before any work.
- How long does camera glass replacement take?
Usually within the same day, often while you wait, depending on model and how the glass shattered. If fragments reached the module and the job grows, we tell you before continuing.
