Repair Parts Guide

Repair Parts Grades, Explained

The same screen repair can have two or three prices on our list. The difference is the part, not the workmanship. Here's what each grade means, honestly — so you can pick with your eyes open.

30-100 days warranty on every grade · nett prices · free diagnosis.

Why the Same Repair Has More Than One Price

Open any model on our price list — say an iPhone or Samsung — and you'll often see the same repair twice: once as Grade AAA, once as Original Grade. Both are done by the same technicians, in the same visit, with the same warranty. You're choosing the part that goes in, and the honest answer is that different phones and different owners justify different parts.

Grade AAA — the Affordable Aftermarket Option

Grade AAA parts come from established third-party manufacturers. A AAA display is new, colour-matched and precision-cut for your model; a AAA battery is a new cell tested to spec. What you give up compared with the original is usually small but real — a display might run slightly less bright at maximum, or render colours a touch differently side by side with a factory panel.

It's the right call for an older phone, a spare, or a device you're replacing soon anyway. You get a working phone back the same day in most cases, at the lowest sensible cost.

Original Grade — Matches What Your Phone Shipped With

Original Grade parts match the original manufacturer specification: same display technology, same battery chemistry and rated capacity. Day to day you shouldn't be able to tell the repair happened. This is our default recommendation when you plan to keep the phone — and for MacBook, iPad, Apple Watch and every non-Apple brand, it's the top grade we fit.

Genuine Apple Parts — Eligible iPhone Repairs Only (Apple IRP)

Citri Mobile is an Apple Independent Repair Provider, which gives us access to genuine Apple parts, tools and diagnostics for eligible iPhone repairs under the Apple IRP programme. If you want the exact factory part in your iPhone — display, battery or Face ID module — that option is on the iPhone price lists.

To be clear about scope: genuine Apple parts are an iPhone-only option. We don't make genuine-parts claims for any other device, including MacBook and iPad — those get Original Grade or quality aftermarket parts, and we'll always tell you which.

One More Trick That Saves Money: Glass-Only Replacement

If your screen is cracked but the display underneath still works perfectly, many models qualify for a glass-only replacement — we keep your original panel and replace just the outer glass. Your phone keeps its factory display, which on iPhone also means no parts notice in Settings. It needs the display to be undamaged, so we confirm eligibility during the free diagnosis.

How to Choose, in One Minute

Whichever you pick, the price on the model page is nett, and the repair carries a 30-100 days warranty. If you're unsure, WhatsApp us your model and how long you plan to keep it — we'll recommend one grade, not upsell three.

Parts Grades FAQs

What does Grade AAA mean for a phone screen?
Grade AAA is a quality aftermarket part — made by a third-party manufacturer, not the phone brand. For screens that means a new panel that's colour-matched and fitted to the same cutout as the original. It's the budget-friendly option: brightness and colour come close to stock, and it carries the same warranty as our other grades.
What is an Original Grade part?
Original Grade means the part matches the original manufacturer specification — the same display or battery technology your phone shipped with. It's what we recommend for most repairs when you plan to keep the phone for a while, and it's the top grade we offer for non-Apple brands.
Do you use genuine Apple parts?
For eligible iPhone repairs, yes — Citri Mobile is an Apple Independent Repair Provider, so we can offer genuine Apple parts under the Apple IRP programme. Genuine parts are an iPhone-only option; for MacBook, iPad, Apple Watch and non-Apple brands we fit Original Grade or quality aftermarket parts instead.
Will my iPhone show a warning after an aftermarket screen replacement?
On some iPhone models, iOS shows an 'unknown part' notice in Settings after a non-Apple display or battery is fitted. It doesn't stop the phone working, but we'll tell you upfront whether your model does this. If only your glass is cracked and the display underneath still works, a glass-only replacement keeps your original panel — so there's no notice at all.
Is the warranty different between parts grades?
No — repairs carry a 30-100 days warranty regardless of grade, covering both the part and our workmanship. What changes between grades is the part itself, not how we stand behind it.
Which parts grade should I choose?
Keeping the phone another year or more, or planning to trade it in? Go Original Grade — displays keep their colour and touch feel, and batteries hold capacity longer. Fixing a spare phone, or a device near the end of its life? Grade AAA does the job for less. If you're not sure, tell us how long you plan to keep the device and we'll give you a straight recommendation with a nett quote for both.
What is a Premium High Capacity battery?
For some models we stock batteries with a higher rated capacity than the original — useful if your phone never lasted the day even when new. Where available, it's listed as its own tier on the model's price list.
Are your parts prices nett?
Yes. The price listed for each grade on a model page is the price you pay — no hidden charges. Every price on this site comes from the same live price list we use in-store.
