About the MacBook Pro 16-inch A3428

The A3428 is the 16-inch MacBook Pro with Apple's M5 Pro chip, released in March 2026. The M5 Max version of the same machine is A3429, and the two are identical on the outside. The model number is printed on the underside of the case, and About This Mac names the chip.
