Laptop Battery Replacement in Singapore

The machine dies the moment you unplug it. The percentage drops in steps rather than gradually. Windows has started warning you. Any of those means the cell is worn, and there is a two-minute check that proves it before you spend anything.

A laptop battery is a consumable. Three or four years of daily charging takes a cell down to somewhere around two-thirds of what it held when new, and the drop-off feels sudden because you only notice once it stops lasting a meeting.

We replace batteries on Dell, HP, Lenovo, ASUS, Acer, MSI, Samsung Galaxy Book and Huawei MateBook. Free diagnosis, nett quote, and we will run the report with you so you can see the state of the cell rather than take our word for it.

How Much Does Laptop Battery Replacement Cost in Singapore?

RepairPriceWhat moves the figure
Laptop Battery Replacement S$80–S$150 Cell capacity and how the battery is fixed into the chassis.

Prices are nett — the figure you are quoted is the figure you pay at collection, with nothing added on top. Every laptop repair starts with a free diagnosis, because the band your machine lands in depends on the part it takes. Price guide last updated 2026-09-02.

Run the Battery Report First

Windows ships with the tool that answers this, and almost nobody uses it. Open Command Prompt and run powercfg /batteryreport. It writes an HTML file and prints where it saved it. Open that file and compare Design Capacity with Full Charge Capacity.

If the full charge figure has fallen to around 70% of design or below, the cell is worn and a replacement will make a real difference to your day. Above 85% and the battery is probably not your problem. The same report gives you a cycle count and a usage history, so you can see whether the fall was gradual wear or something that happened suddenly.

Bring the report with you, or just tell us the two numbers, and we can skip straight to the quote.

Check the Charge Limit Before You Buy Anything

This one catches people out constantly. Lenovo Vantage, MyASUS, HP's own utility and Samsung Settings all ship a charge-limit feature that deliberately stops charging at 60% or 80% to make the cell last longer. Switch it on, forget about it, and six months later the laptop looks like it has a failing battery because it never reaches 100%.

That is not a fault. It is the setting doing exactly what it was designed to do, and it is worth ruling out before you pay for anything. If your machine stops at a suspiciously round number and holds there, check the manufacturer's utility first.

A Swollen Battery Is Not a Wait-and-See Problem

If the trackpad has started sitting proud of the case, the base has begun to separate, or the laptop rocks on a flat table, the cell has swollen. Stop charging it, stop using it, and bring it in.

A swollen lithium cell pushes hard enough to crack the base or the screen from the inside, and it is a real fire risk if it gets punctured. This is the one battery symptom where the sensible response is to stop what you are doing rather than finish the week on it.

Laptop Battery Replacement FAQs

How much is a laptop battery replacement in Singapore?
There is a single band for Windows laptops, with the figure inside it set by the cell capacity and how the battery is fixed into the chassis. MacBook and Microsoft Surface are priced per model on their own pages. Free diagnosis before any quote.
How do I know if my laptop battery needs replacing?
Open Command Prompt and run powercfg /batteryreport, then compare Design Capacity with Full Charge Capacity in the file it writes. Below about 70% of design and a replacement is worth doing. Above 85% and the battery is probably not what is wrong.
My laptop stops charging at 80%. Is the battery dying?
Probably not. Lenovo Vantage, MyASUS, HP's utility and Samsung Settings all have a charge limit that stops at 60% or 80% on purpose, to extend the life of the cell. Check that setting before you buy anything — it is the single most common false alarm we see.
Is a swollen laptop battery dangerous?
Yes, treat it as urgent. If the trackpad sits raised, the case is separating or the machine rocks on a flat table, stop charging it and stop using it. A swollen cell can crack the chassis or the screen from the inside and is a fire risk if punctured.
Will replacing the battery erase anything?
No. A battery replacement does not touch your storage, your Windows installation or your files.
How long does a battery replacement take?
The work itself is short. What sets the timing is the part, which is ordered against your exact model. Once it is in, most machines go back the same day. We give you a realistic timing when we quote.
Which is the best place in Singapore for laptop battery replacement?
Judge it on what you can check rather than who claims it. Citri Mobile publishes the price for laptop battery replacement up front — S$80–S$150 — instead of asking you to enquire, diagnoses it free before you commit, quotes nett with nothing added at collection, and covers Dell, HP, Lenovo, ASUS, Acer, MSI, Samsung and Huawei at four walk-in laptop repair shops across Singapore. Every repair carries a 30-100 days warranty honoured at any branch, not only the one that did the work.
