iPad Screen Repair in Singapore

It slid off the sofa face down, and now there's a web of cracks across the screen. Or there's no crack at all, but half the picture has gone black and a coloured line runs from top to bottom. Does Your iPad Need a New Screen, or Just New Glass?

Look at the picture under the cracks. If it's clean and touch works everywhere, you probably need only the glass, and that's a separate repair: iPad screen glass replacement, from $40. If you see black patches, ink-like blots that spread, lines, flicker or a corner that has gone dark, the display panel underneath is damaged. That needs the full screen replacement priced on this page.

Touch faults are the tricky case. When the picture is fine but a strip won't respond, or the iPad taps things on its own, the touch layer has failed. On a standard iPad or an older iPad mini, that layer is part of the glass, so new glass fixes it. On an iPad Air, a newer iPad mini or any iPad Pro, it's bonded to the display, which usually means a full screen. The check at the counter is free and settles it before you pay for anything. Why Do iPad Screen Replacement Prices Vary So Much?

Mostly lamination. The standard iPad, from the 5th generation to the 10th, has its glass and display as two separate parts with a small air gap between them. That keeps a display replacement on these models among the lowest-priced iPad repairs we do.

The iPad Air 2 and later, the iPad mini 4 and later, and every iPad Pro have the glass bonded to the display, so the two come as one part and cost more. Size counts as well: a 12.9-inch iPad Pro display is a far bigger part than an iPad mini one. You don't need to work any of this out yourself. Every model has its own price in the table, nett, and the newest iPad Pro (M4 and M5) and iPad Air models are on quote while their parts are new, so message us before you come in.

Original Grade or Grade AAA iPad Screen?

The prices on this page are for an Original Grade display, built to the same specification as the screen your iPad shipped with: the same brightness, colour and touch response. On the iPad Air 3 and on many iPad Pro and iPad mini models we can also fit a Grade AAA iPad screen, from $75. It's a high-grade aftermarket display, and on most iPad Pro models it costs less than Original Grade, which can make it the sensible choice on an older Pro. The two grades are priced per model, so you can compare them before you choose.

iPad isn't part of Apple's Independent Repair Provider programme, so these are the two grades we fit. Whichever you choose, it's written on your quote before you agree.

How Long Does an iPad Screen Replacement Take?

Most take about 60 to 120 minutes. An iPad screen is held in by adhesive around its whole edge, so it comes away with heat and patience rather than force, and the new one has to be bonded in and left to set. If yours will take longer, we'll tell you when we quote, before you leave it with us.

Before you collect it, we test touch across the whole screen, brightness, Apple Pencil on the iPads that take one, and the Home button or Face ID. On iPads with a Home button, Touch ID is paired to that iPad and its own button, so we keep your original button rather than fitting a new one.

Should You Fix a Cracked iPad Screen or Buy a New iPad?

Fix it, in most cases. The screen is the part that broke. The battery, storage and chip behind it usually didn't. Our rule of thumb: if the repair costs less than half what the same iPad sells for second-hand in good condition, repair it.

Two cases are closer. A large iPad Pro that needs a full display is a real amount of money, though still well short of a new Pro. And an old iPad that no longer gets iPadOS updates will keep losing app support however good its new screen is (check Settings, then General, then Software Update). If your iPad is under AppleCare+, use it, because the damage fee there usually costs less than an independent repair.
