We don't wipe anything. On board-level work your storage usually comes through untouched, but a laptop that has been through liquid or a power fault can lose data before it reaches us, and nobody honest will promise otherwise — back it up now if it still turns on. We ask for a passcode only to test the laptop afterwards, and you're welcome to stay and watch.
