There are three ways to check your Samsung warranty in Singapore. Fastest: open the Samsung Members app, tap Support, and tap your device to see the warranty end date. Or dial *#06# for your IMEI and look the phone up through your Samsung account at samsung.com/sg. Or call Samsung on 1800-7267864 with the IMEI ready. All three take under five minutes. Here's each one step by step, then what the warranty actually covers.

How do I check my warranty in the Samsung Members app?

Samsung Members comes pre-installed on most Galaxy phones, and it's the only method that shows the coverage end date on screen without a login dance. Steps checked against Samsung's support pages, August 2026 (menu names can shift slightly between One UI versions):

  1. Open the Samsung Members app. Sign in with your Samsung account if it asks.
  2. Tap the Support tab at the bottom right.
  3. Your phone appears at the top of the screen. Tap it.
  4. Read the warranty information, including when coverage ends.

On recent One UI versions there's a shortcut that skips the app entirely: go to Settings > Warranty and care, then tap View details. Same information, one less tap.

If the date shown looks wrong, don't panic. Samsung calculates it from activation or registration data, and your receipt is the document that settles it. Keep the receipt; a service centre goes by proof of purchase.

How do I check Samsung warranty with my IMEI?

The IMEI is your phone's 15-digit serial identity, and it's what Samsung's systems key everything to. Useful when the phone is second-hand, freshly reset, or too broken to open an app.

  1. Open the dialler and type *#06#. The IMEI appears instantly. (No dialler? It's also under Settings > About phone > Status > IMEI information, printed on the original box, and on the SIM tray of many models.)
  2. Write the number down, or screenshot it.
  3. Go to Samsung Singapore's product registration page and sign in with your Samsung account.
  4. Enter the Serial Number/IMEI to register the phone, or open My Page > My products if it's already registered. Registered products show their warranty status, auto-calculated from the purchase details.

One thing worth knowing about the fine print: Samsung Singapore's warranty terms say the warranty applies on registration within 7 days of purchase, either online or by warranty card. In practice the receipt still carries the day, but registering a new phone the week you buy it removes any argument later.

No Samsung account and no patience for one? Call 1800-SAMSUNG (1800-7267864) with the IMEI ready and ask them to check it for you.

What does the Samsung Singapore warranty cover?

Samsung Singapore gives smartphones a 12-month local warranty covering labour and parts, on a carry-in basis. It covers manufacturing defects: faults in materials or build quality that show up under normal use. The phone's hardware and the original battery are in scope. Software problems, and wear items like cases, are not.

The bits and pieces in the box have their own, shorter clocks:

ItemWarranty period
Smartphone or tablet (labour & parts)12 months
Wearables, earbuds, speakers, wireless chargers12 months
Wired charger, in-box earphones, S Pen6 months
Phone case3 months

Figures are from Samsung Singapore's official warranty information page; check it for the current terms on your product. Note the warranty is local: it applies to sets purchased in Singapore. If your phone came from overseas, confirm with Samsung whether they'll accept it here before you rely on coverage.

What voids a Samsung warranty?

The exclusions are broader than most people expect. Samsung's Singapore terms exclude damage from impact and shock, accidents, fire and flood, and abuse or mishandling. Cosmetic damage isn't covered either. In plain terms:

  • Drops and cracks. A cracked screen is accident damage, not a manufacturing defect. The standard warranty has never covered it; that's what Samsung Care+ exists for.
  • Liquid. Water ratings are for fresh-water mishaps, not a guarantee, and liquid damage is excluded. The indicators inside the phone tell the story.
  • Unauthorised opening or modification. Rooting, custom firmware, or a botched DIY repair can cost you the remaining coverage.
  • Commercial use and cosmetic wear. Scratches and dents don't qualify, and the warranty assumes normal personal use.

This is the conversation we have most often at the counter. Someone brings in a Galaxy with a shattered screen or a moisture warning, asks whether warranty covers it, and the honest answer is that it never did. If your phone has a fault that appeared on its own, a speaker that died or a screen with a line that no drop explains, go to Samsung first while you're inside the 12 months. That claim costs you nothing, and it's what the warranty is for.

My Samsung warranty has expired. What are my options?

Once the 12 months are up you're paying for the repair either way, so it comes down to price, parts and how long you can live without the phone. Most of the out-of-warranty Galaxys that cross our counter are exactly what you'd guess: S20, S21 and S22 series screens, batteries on S and Note series phones from a few years back, and A-series charging ports. All standard jobs.

Samsung warranty in Singapore: FAQs

How long is the Samsung warranty in Singapore?

12 months from purchase for smartphones and tablets, covering labour and parts on a carry-in basis. In-box accessories run shorter: 6 months for the wired charger and earphones, 3 months for a case. Samsung's terms ask you to register the product within 7 days of purchase, and your receipt is the proof of the start date.

Does the Samsung warranty cover cracked screens?

No. A cracked screen counts as accidental damage, which the standard warranty excludes, along with liquid damage and drops generally. Screen cover while under warranty comes from Samsung Care+ if you bought it, or from your own pocket. Out of warranty, a replacement at our shops starts from $50 with Original Grade parts, depending on model.

Is my Samsung warranty international?

Treat it as local. Samsung Singapore's warranty applies to sets purchased in Singapore, and a phone bought overseas may not be accepted at a local Samsung service centre under warranty. If you imported your phone or bought it while travelling, check directly with Samsung before assuming coverage.

Where can I repair an out-of-warranty Samsung in Singapore?

Samsung's service centres will repair it at their out-of-warranty rates, or an independent shop can do it for less. Citri Mobile repairs all Galaxy series at four branches (Chinatown, Tampines, Yishun, Jurong Point) with free diagnosis, a 30-100 days warranty on the repair and no data erased. Message +65 9456 6455 first to confirm parts for your model are in stock.
